The Chery iCaur V23 has arrived in Nepal ahead of its official market launch.

The electric SUV, which was previously showcased in August 2025, generated strong interest among prospective buyers during its initial preview. SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor for Omoda & Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the model formally in the coming days.

In the Nepali market, the iCaur V23 will be offered in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration. It is powered by a single electric motor producing 100 kW (134 hp) and 180 Nm of torque. This setup is designed to balance everyday usability with light off-road capability.

Powering the V23 is a 59.93 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by CATL. The battery delivers a CLTC-certified range of up to 401 km on a single charge. The SUV also supports DC fast charging at up to 85 kW, enabling quicker charging stops during longer journeys.

Design-wise, the iCaur V23 adopts a retro-meets-modern aesthetic. It features a boxy profile complemented by round LED headlights and a clamshell-style hood. Flared wheel arches, hidden door handles, and aluminium alloy side steps add to its rugged appearance.

At the rear, a side-opening tailgate is paired with an external storage box—referred to as a “backpack”—which enhances both practicality and visual character.

Inside, the V23 comes equipped with a 15.4-inch central touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. The cabin follows a two-row, 2+2 seating layout. With the second-row seats folded, the luggage capacity expands to 744 litres, offering ample space for cargo.

In terms of dimensions, the iCaur V23 measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm. It rides on 19-inch wheels and offers 205 mm of ground clearance. Approach and departure angles of 43 degrees and 41 degrees respectively further underline its suitability for mild off-road use.

While official pricing has not yet been announced, the electric SUV is expected to be priced under Rs 47 lakh when it goes on sale.
